IPO Subscription Today (30 Oct): Bombay Coated at 3.09x, Maxwell Leads the Debuts

Three IPOs close for subscription today, 30 October 2026 — M.K. Sons Fine Jewels, Ajwa Projects and Carver Roboweld — while four fresh SME issues opened this morning and Bombay Coated & Special Steels surged on Day 2. Here is the midday subscription picture, based on exchange-tracker snapshots taken between about 11:30 AM and noon IST. Figures move through the day as bidding continues, so treat them as a midday snapshot, not final numbers.

IPOs Closing Today: M.K. Sons, Ajwa and Carver

All three issues that opened on 28 October close at 5 PM today. Carver Roboweld is the strongest of the trio at the last check, while Ajwa Projects has only just crossed full subscription.

IPOTypePriceMidday subscriptionGMP (unofficial)
M.K. Sons Fine JewelsMainboard₹153–162~2.10x₹11 (+6.8%)
Ajwa ProjectsBSE SME₹203 (fixed)~1.04x₹2 (+1%)
Carver RoboweldBSE SME₹76–80~2.83x₹0

Ajwa's retail portion is doing the heavy lifting at 1.77x, while its HNI portion sits at just 0.31x — a reminder that SME demand can be lopsided even when the headline number crosses 1x. M.K. Sons, the ₹275 crore mainboard issue, has QIB interest near 1x with NII demand above 3x. All three issues are expected to finalise allotment on 2 November and list on 4 November.

Day 2 Star: Bombay Coated & Special Steels at 3.09x

The ₹183 crore mainboard IPO of Bombay Coated & Special Steels is the standout of the day. After a quiet Day 1 at just 0.45x, QIB demand exploded on Day 2 to 6.55x, lifting the overall subscription to 3.09x by late morning. Retail investors are at 1.95x and NII at around 1.70x for small HNIs. The issue, priced at ₹78–82, closes on 2 November, with allotment expected around 3 November and listing around 5 November. Its grey market premium of about ₹9 (+11%) is unofficial and can change.

Antala Industries, the other Day 2 issue, is far quieter at 0.78x overall — though its tiny QIB portion shows a striking 66.72x, which reflects a very small QIB quota rather than broad institutional demand. Retail is at just 0.07x. Antala also closes on 2 November.

Four Debuts: Maxwell Leads, Others Crawl

Four SME IPOs opened today, 30 October, and the contrast between them is sharp:

  • Maxwell Engineering Solutions — 1.39x by late morning, led by retail at 2.32x and NII at 1.08x, with QIBs yet to bid. Its GMP of ₹70 (+44.3% over the ₹158 upper band) is the day's highest and matches the strong grey-market interest seen before opening. Read our morning GMP roundup for the pre-open picture.
  • Johnsoncab Electricals — 0.26x, with retail at 0.28x and HNIs at 0.54x; QIBs at zero. GMP around ₹10 (+5%) over the ₹200 upper band.
  • Vectras Enprocon — 0.14x, retail leading at 0.20x, QIBs at zero, and no GMP quoted. See our Vectras Enprocon IPO deep-dive for price band, dates and financials.
  • HGS (India) — 0.07x, the slowest debut of the day, with retail at 0.08x and no GMP quoted.

All four close on 3 November and are tentatively scheduled to list on 6 November.

Allotments Tonight: BLS, SFC and Wiscon

Allotment is due to be finalised this evening for the three issues that closed on 29 October. BLS Polymers, the ₹255 crore mainboard issue priced at ₹142–150, closed with a reported final subscription of 241.22x and is scheduled to list on 3 November with a GMP of about ₹68 (+45%, unofficial). SFC Environmental Technologies closed at a reported 9.47x. Wiscon's final subscription was not confirmed in the sources checked at midday. Investors can check allotment status on the BSE/NSE websites or the registrar's portal once the basis of allotment is finalised.

For context, yesterday's midday update covered BLS at 51.28x before the final-day surge, and our EAAA allotment guide explains how to check status step by step.
